Construction layout is the reverse of most surveying. Instead of measuring what exists, we take the engineer's design and put it on the ground, so that concrete goes where the drawing says it goes.
Everything on a site is built from control. We establish it, protect it, and hold the same control for the life of the job so that the foundation, the curb and the utilities all agree with each other months apart.
What we stake
- Primary and secondary control, set clear of the work and referenced so it can be recovered
- Building corners and column lines, with offsets at a distance the crews can actually work to
- Curb, pavement edge and grade stakes with cut and fill marked
- Storm, sanitary and water alignments, with invert grades where required
- Rough and final grade, and re-stakes when the earthwork takes them out
Working with your schedule
Layout is a sequence, not a single visit. Tell us the pour dates and the inspection dates and we will work backward from them. If a date is tight, say so plainly when you call and we will tell you honestly whether we can hold it.
Where we do it
Anywhere in Florida.
